We have tried to include as much information as possible to
help you in planning your trip to Turkey, thereby enhancing
your stay or simply allowing you to find out more about our
country. We hope that you will find it to be informative and
easy to use.
The guide is divided into four main sections. The first introduces
an overview of the country and covers topics such as history,
lifestyle and culture. The second section provides information
on some of the activities, sports and pastimes available in
Turkey and the third section focuses on resorts, major cities
and other places of interest.
The final section is a fact file providing practical information.
In addition to the list of contents opposite, there is also
an index at the back of the guide to assist you in finding
the information you require. Discover Turkey has been prepared
by the Turkish Culture &Tourism Office in London, which
is the office representing the Turkish Ministry of Culture
& Tourism in the UK and Ireland. This is the first edition
of the guide and we have tried to make all information as
accurate as possible at the time of going to press in October
2005. We plan to update the information regularly and would
welcome feedback as to how useful you have found this guide
and whether there is any further information which you feel
should have been included.
